Which pages on my site return errors to visitors?

Updated 2026-10-16

Short answer: your homepage can load while other pages fail. Cloudflare counts every server error (5xx) and not-found (404) it sends to visitors, by address, so you can see exactly which pages are breaking and when, even if no one has told you.

How to check it yourself

  1. In the Cloudflare dashboard, open your domain, then Analytics, and look at responses by status code.
  2. Filter to 5xx and look at which paths they came from, and when they started.
  3. Check your 404s too: a page that used to work and now 404s usually means a moved or deleted page.
  4. Match the times errors started against your last deploys and changes.

What Preventionlabs shows

With a read-only Cloudflare token connected, every report shows the server errors (5xx) and not-found (404) responses visitors got, by address, as Cloudflare counted them, with Cloudflare's own background requests and Preventionlabs' checks left out. For example, from a real report: "36 server error responses out of 943 requests in the last 24 hours (3.8%) ... / (29 x 523), / (4 x 521), / (3 x 520)".
