Is Hostinger down?

Updated 11 October 2026

Short answer

Look at Hostinger's status page first (statuspage.hostinger.com). If there's an incident affecting your server or service, it's on their side and you'll need to wait or contact support. If everything there is operational, the problem is your account or site: resource limits on your plan (often 503 errors under traffic), the domain's DNS, or an error in the site itself.

What's the problem

Your Hostinger site won't load, is very slow, or shows an error, and you don't know whether it's Hostinger or your site.

Why it happens

  • A Hostinger incident affecting your server or service.
  • Plan resource limits reached (CPU, memory, processes), causing 503 errors or slowdowns.
  • DNS or domain problems: expired, or not pointing at Hostinger.
  • A site error: a WordPress plugin, theme or .htaccess problem.
  • An expired hosting plan.

How to fix it

  1. Check Hostinger's status page for your service.
  2. Check your plan's resource usage in the hosting panel.
  3. Check the domain and DNS. See domain not working.
  4. Read the error on the page and follow the guide for it, or WordPress error for WordPress sites.
  5. Contact Hostinger support with the error and when it started.

What Preventionlabs checks

One click runs the full report on your domain. For this problem it shows whether your site loads, how fast, and where its redirects go; uptime checked every 5 minutes, with an email when the site goes down and when it is back; up to 50 pages from your sitemap, listing any that fail or are slow, plus broken links on them; your DNS: nameservers, addresses, DNSSEC, and records pointing at services that no longer exist; your domain's registration and expiry date. It has no connection to your host, so check the host's status page and logs as well.

Run your free report

Your first report is free, no card needed. Then A$50 a month, up to 10 domains. Read-only: it never changes anything.
