How do I make Claude Code check my website after a deploy?
Updated 2026-10-17
Short answer: give Claude Code the Preventionlabs MCP server, and ask it to check your live site after a deploy.
Claude Code works from code. It can't see what visitors see: the broken page, the failed redirect, the certificate warning. A build can pass while the live site is broken.
How to check it yourself
- The site loads on every version of its address: with and without www, http and https.
- The pages you changed answer 200, not 404 or 500.
- No new JavaScript errors in the browser console.
- HTTPS still works, and email records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) are still in place.
- No files left public, like
.env, backups or the.gitfolder.
Set it up
- Create your account, add your site and prove it's yours.
- Open Connections → AI agents and create your API key.
- Run this once in your terminal:
Restart Claude Code.claude mcp add -s user preventionlabs -e PREVENTIONLABS_API_KEY=plk_your_key -- npx -y preventionlabs-mcp
What Preventionlabs shows
Ask Claude Code to check your site with Preventionlabs. The report lands in your session: problems first, each with the evidence and what to do. After a fix, run a second report: it shows whether the problem is gone. If the report is clean, the problem isn't on the outside.
Each website gets 2 reports a day. Your agent can reread the last report any time without using one.
Price
First report free, no card needed. Then A$50 a month, up to 10 domains.
