How do I check a website built with AI?
Updated 2026-10-17
Short answer: check the live site from the outside, not the code. AI tools write code that runs, but they rarely check what the finished site actually serves: how heavy the pages are, whether every page loads, whether private files are public, and whether email and DNS are set up.
How to check it yourself
- List every page the site should have, and open each one on the live address.
- Check the largest files on the homepage in developer tools, then Network, sorted by size.
- Look up the domain's SPF and DMARC records, so email from the site doesn't land in spam.
- Run the same checks again after every change the AI makes, not just at launch.
What Preventionlabs shows
One click checks the live site from the outside, with up to 25 checks: whether it loads on every version of its address, up to 50 pages from your sitemap, JavaScript errors in a real browser, page size and the largest images and scripts, HTTPS and redirects, email records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), files that should never be public, domain expiry and DNS. Each report lists problems first, each with the evidence and what to do, and shows what changed since the last report.
Price
First report free, no card needed. Then A$50 a month, up to 10 domains.
