My AI built my website. How do I know it's working?
Updated 2026-10-17
Short answer: don't go by what the AI says, or by how the site looks on your own screen. Check the live site the way a visitor and a search engine see it: every page loads, it's fast on a phone, nothing private is public, and the basics like HTTPS and email records are set up.
How to check it yourself
- Open the site in a private window, on your phone as well as your computer.
- Click through every page in the menu, and send yourself a test message through any form.
- Open developer tools, then Console, and look for red errors.
- Try
/.envand/.git/HEADon your domain: both should return 404 or 403, never a file.
What Preventionlabs shows
One click checks the live site from the outside, with up to 25 checks: whether it loads on every version of its address, up to 50 pages from your sitemap, JavaScript errors in a real browser, page size and the largest images and scripts, HTTPS and redirects, email records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), files that should never be public, domain expiry and DNS. Each report lists problems first, each with the evidence and what to do, and shows what changed since the last report.
